Every December we sit up and say the same thing, “Where has the year gone?” What a year it has been for Fineline Wardrobe Solutions. This year we celebrated 40 years of being in business. As the industry cogs slowly wind down for the year, we like to look back on the year that has been and reminisce on some of our best work of 2024.
Walk-in wardrobes.
2024 has been quite the year for walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms. If you have the space and the means, a walk-in wardrobe is truly a luxury. Imagine strolling through your wardrobe and choosing your outfit, just like you would in a retail store. Not only are your clothes beautifully stored and displayed, but so are your handbags, accessories, and shoes.
Fineline Wardrobe Solutions has created a number of walk-in wardrobes this year in various sizes. The following three have truly stood out for us, making them part of our best of 2024 collection.
Firstly, this home renovation boasts a gorgeous walk-in dressing room, complete with a center island and dressing table. The entrance to this dressing room features a grey-glass Domalti (double-sided) sliding door.
This walk-in wardrobe is every girl’s dream! Just look at the rows of rails and shelves, never mind all the beautifully displayed shoes and handbags! The center island is perfect for all your smaller accessories. Picking out an outfit in this wardrobe every morning must be so much fun!
Step aside, Hollywood; this dressing room will rival any celebrity dressing room you see on Pinterest. This dressing room boasts glass doors spanning the storage space, along with separate centre islands and dressing tables for each person. Multicoloured lights add an extra touch of glam to this wardrobe.
Simple white melamine and mirror.
Not all jobs require extravagant walk-ins to be aesthetically pleasing. There is a reason why plain white melamine cupboards with white melamine and/or mirror sliding doors are our biggest sellers. These wardrobes and sliding wardrobe doors, which are our most cost-effective options, enhance the lightness, brightness, and elegance of any room. No matter how old your house is or what style you have, simple white melamine or mirror sliding wardrobe doors will look gorgeous in your home. Double-sided sliding doors.
For 40 years, Fineline Wardrobe Solutions has been creating beautiful wardrobes and cupboards with sliding wardrobe doors; however, our Domalti (double-sided) sliding doors have been making waves this year. Frequently utilised in walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms, our Domalti doors also serve as doors to en-suite bathrooms and act as room dividers in open-plan spaces.
We finish our Domalti doors on both sides with the material of your choice. Our Domalti doors’ double-sided design makes them highly versatile, particularly when used between rooms, making them a top choice for our best of 2024 collection.
This stunning master bedroom (as seen above) features built-in wardrobes installed along with black semi-frameless sliding doors in a combination of Cascade melamine and mirror. A Domalti (double-sided) sliding door in the same finish creates style continuity across the en-suite bathroom. It is this continuity of style that makes a home look well put together.
Glass Domalti doors were used as room dividers in this open plan living room (as seen above). The doors create privacy between the TV room and dining room when closed while still allowing light through.
Wardrobe Door Conversions.
Sometimes our most satisfying jobs are the simplest. The most straightforward jobs we get involves converting hinged wardrobe doors to sliding ones, yet we find immense joy in witnessing the remarkable transformation this simple alteration brings to a bedroom.
If you already have a wardrobe in your bedroom (or any room in your home) and are happy with the internal configuration but want the elegance and space-saving properties of sliding wardrobe doors, we at Fineline can do a simple wardrobe door conversion for you.

Black finishes—a beloved trend in 2024.
In 2024, black finishes were prevalent in homes, ranging from furniture to kitchen finishes and sanitary ware. Even with our wardrobes and sliding doors, black finishes were hot this year, whether they were black aluminum frames, black melamine, or black mirror or glass sliding doors. Black finishes look particularly striking when paired with wood finishes, such as wood-grain wardrobe interiors or wooden floors. These jobs have become part of our best for 2024, and we have a feeling this trend will remain a winner in 2025!
